ok, some idiot newbie called me a bot on nygang earlier, i kicked him (probably not a good idea, but i was already in a pissy mood

) , i get this alot as its mostly newbs on that server after all, but he said i was hacking because he hit me with 3 rockets and i didnt die, the real reason was cuz i always have around 100 armor and whore the mh like its nobodys buisness. But it got me thinking, are there actually hacks that make people invulnerable? because i get accused of it all the damn time

there was a guy ont he edge madhouse server
punk<fas< either this guy was really really good
or he was usin a wall hack

there were times where there was no possible way he could know where i was at all
but he still did

I'm just really really good (apparently). One "impossible" time when I knew where Xtife was, was when I was coming up stairs to megahealth room, and I heard the "huh huh", double jump of someone going up the ammo pack box getting ready to jump to mega. But, I did not hear another jump after that, so I figured he was still up there. I rounded the corner and looked up there, and there he was, I railed him, and that's when he thought I was hacking I guess.

Also, the invis demos were from '99 or 2000 at the very latest (I was still a dial-up HPB, and was only HPB for the first 6 months or so of playing Q2, I started early '99). That was on some older server that ran Quake 2 3.19, and there was a way to become invisible on servers that ran that version of Quake 2, and it's still probably possible, but no servers run 3.19 anymore that I'm aware of. I think it was on Visi.net, server is not around anymore though. It wasn't an external program, just a trick.

punk is as legit as they come. i have seen his game in person and it runs closer to stock then anyone i have met. and as far as ANY of the stock dm maps go, most of us have been playing them for over seven years or so, so we know exactly where people are by sound. that is why people cry wallhack all the time. ESPECIALLY on dm1, that is the most known map in the history of gaming.
