I've always felt Monsterkill was an extension of the tastyspleen community! I believe alot of the players at Monsterkill played on the tastyspleen servers already. I know I always have. That includes non itdm servers. So x'tyfe sorry but ur ignorance is overwhelming as usual.
Whirling and armor absolutely have the right attitude about this. None of the bullshit matters, its all about the game. If more people play at tastyspleen as a result of monsterkills demise it cant be a bad thing for tastyspleen.   
Personally i'm sorry to see monsterkill go because of the great games i've had there over the years. I appreciate monsterkill for giving me the opportunity to play those games. I've also met some great people there, Whirling mentioned some of them already.

The last mk going down thread died the same fate: it got X'tyfed.

I say if we learn anything from this, it should be that Xtyfe is a retard and that he adds nothing to a conversation except for repeated attempts to steal the spotlight off of the topic.

don't even bother telling him that he is "this community's trash" or that he is less accepted here than the most hated person at MK. He will just put his fingers in his ears and continue to blather on.


Back on topic:

at least there wasn't a lot of stuff lost off of the now defunct MK forum since it had gone down a few months back and been wiped out.. the clans forums were pretty much empty and there hadn't been an event since the untimely end of the mk 1v1 tourney.

it lessens the blow that the loss of the community would have struck us with if it had all happened at once.

On that note tho, I hope any of the clans that were still there at the time of closure can still contact each other.
If you see any of Cr^, vF., .dC or 420 around perhaps we should lead them this way so they can make member accounts and still be part of the NA quake 2 community if they so choose.

I'd hate to see 4 clans fizzle out simultaneously because 1 guy stopped footing the bill for the forum they used.

That's the thing, they don't enjoy the same game as us. The very definition of "fun" has been twisted around to mean something totally different... These people find it "fun" to ruin our "fun", It's like 10 little haunteds running around setting fire to everything because they know that it will piss us off. To me, that is not fun.

But if you enjoy that sort of thing, then by all means... I'm all for new people here, just not ones that will ruin and destroy.

Thats pretty much my point goatkilla. There are/were alot of people that just like to play and not cause trouble at MK. There is no point in holding grudges with so few active players still around. There are always going to be shit disturbers around but when the majority are not trouble makers isnt that a good thing for everyone?

If TS was prone to weed out what you consider to be the bad element in Quake, you would have already been weeded out. Part of what makes TS a success is it's very high tolerance for the varied personalities in the community.

Be thankful it is this way or you would be on the outside looking for another home.

Anyway, I had fun with the MK people and servers.  I play on any and all servers and never had/will consider myself a die hard of any so called community.  It is a fucking game, meant to distract us from the bullshit of real life.

I have much respect for Inhuman and Quadz for dealing with the chaos of the gaming world.
