I received an email this evening from Inhuman, indicating monsterkill has shut down.

It sounded like it was a permanent thing, as he asked me to kill the admin nodes and remove the zone from GOTO.

As much as I despise MK, I honestly never thought they would actually shutdown. I sure shit hope that this doesn't mean that these people will be coming here to tastyspleen, just think of it now...

I hope a fair share of them dont, I don't know how familiar you are with the community there but there's a large prick-to-member ratio over there. Not all, but a fair few indeed.

Yes I value community, which is exactly why I believe that they do not belong here.

I look forward to seeing many of those players with whom I didn't get to play for the past few months, after I chose not to bother with the sillyness that had developed recently over at MK.

In the past, I played insta tdm with many of the players who frequented MK. While it's sad that such nice servers went down, I'm glad that now we can expect to see such nice people like Colous, Bless, Pj1, and vF.mj playing on the Tastyspleen servers more often.

I say we should all welcome them with open arms, and not hold the players (who had nothing to do with certain problems) responsible for the actions of the group that managed the servers they used to play on.

BTW, if there's a vacuum now, let me know if tastyspleen should put up some replacement servers?

There are already some insta tdm servers on GOTO, like irtdm, irtdm2, devitdm ...

So I'm not sure if putting up tastyspleen insta tdm servers would be redundant......?

I think we're covered since those pre-emptive actions that were taken a few months back when MK was on the fritz.

I think right now there are the |iR| hosted itdm servers, Tastyspleen's NAiL and railztdm, and D3V's servers.
gBa has their server up too, and Tailgunner just got his European itdm server running in Italy.


They're all working, getting frequent traffic and available to handle more active players than the mod currently has
