viewing skins outside of quake2 makes them grey

iv been wanting to replace the skins of my weapon models
and i have been going through a few pak files and stuff
but everything i try to view is all grey
i use microsoft photo editer to view um

anyone use anything else that would show them in colour? :p

I get the same effect for some skins in Photoshop as well.Dunno why.

i switched to irfranview
which makes most ones color again. some are still grey

speaking of skins, anyone have any bfg skins? there was one in particualr i had along time ago

hmm, ty dookie, i was having that same problem

be sure to put the skin back into the q2 pallete before saving, otherwise they will look really crappy in game as well

bah, too much for me head, anyway, why the hell would u wanna change ur weapon skins, it makes the game look so crappy.

Maybe you can help me,Dukie...

I've been trying to get the weapon for the Fun model reskinned,but it doesn't want to work.

Here is what I'm trying for....but it still shows as the original ghey skin
