Haha fun security... (possible glitch)

I forgot to update R1Q2 on this computer and was immediately disconnected from mutant because my version does not support anticheat. Well disconnected is the wrong word. A hard crash was used (as denoted by the windows message box) to inform me of the old version, which in turn left a zombie in the server.

Now I update with R1Ch's slick updater tool and reconnect in a matter of seconds and when i try to mymap, i get the message:
peewee_RotA: mymap rdnks
console: Sorry peewee_RotA , couldn't uniquely identify you. Is someone else using your name?

So I guess that same name + same IP address causes this, which is why the zombie made me unable to mymap. My only concern is that this is not the only way to leave a zombie. Also if 2 computers on the same network connect with the same username, it causes this.  I just wonder if this is necessary as mymap is intelligent enough to restrict 1 mymap at a time per username.



(PS, update your r1q2, this patch must have been fairly recent as i had to update all of my machines today testing ths theory)

The complication is that WallFly only sees regular ol' game chat text.  It doesn't see IP's or client numbers.  It just sees:

peewee_RotA: mymap rdnks

...so, the scripts then have to match the name against the rcon status to figure out which client number (and associated IP) is actually speaking.

If a name is not unique, it can't determine which client was speaking.

So, the choice is to temporarily change your name, or wait 90 seconds for the previous instance to time out.
