Can't join server. Keep getting kicked.

Hi there.  I am trying to join a Tastyspleen rail only server.  Months ago it seems they did not have an anti-cheat requirement as I was able to play there a few months ago.  I recently decided I wanted to play on the server but I kept getting kicked repeatedly by the server saying I needed to download and install anti-cheat.  I went to a website to make sure I was doing it properly.  I have it downloaded and installed in my Quake 2 folder.  Upon trying to rejoin your server it says that it's updating and it may take a few minutes but then I am again instantly kicked.  This one website I went to suggested I needed loc files and folder.  When I went to the download link the site was down.  Could anyone help me figure out why I can not connect to a tastyspleen server being as to how they are virtually dominating Quake2 and are the only fun places to play.

Are you using R1Q2? Any info you might need can be found here: http://antiche.at/

It should have an .exe with it called "R1Q2 Updater". Run that program to update the anticheat without having to connect to the server first.

You would only need loc files if you were planning on playing tdm, as they are used mostly in that mod for enemy/teammate/item locations to call to your teammates.

I don't think anticheat is forced on your subnet.  However, it looks like you are caught in a regional ban meant for someone else.

TY so much I am able to play again even with out the anti cheat thing which seems to be giving me a problem.  It isn't loading.. but I guess I don't care since I don't need it!
