Any other good mmo's?

  I can't get back into play q2 full time, but im playing it more nowadays, anyway I have a really short fuse and wow is far from acustomed to short fused players, RNG is bullshit and I nerdrage all the time while im playing arena (HI MACE STUN ME MORE THANKS WHY SO PRO?) so im looking for a new mmorpg to play, one that isnt ridiculously grinding based and actually has a decent endgame to speak of.

i've tried:

guild wars - nothx, didnt interest me at all
RF online - far too grindy, wound me up after level 26 or so.

playing lotro... if you found the books/movie interesting what so ever then there's your ticket. but to really enjoy the game you need a pretty decent system. I have it running on dx10, max everything, amazing gaming experience.

at work i play this free mmorpg called crowns of power http://www.crownsofpower.com/ (i just so happen to go to high school with the creators of the game. whom never graduated. they use to have a website of themselves with pictures of them rolling around in 100 dollar bills, they had a photo of each one of their cars, some m5 bmw, new z28 corvette, something else. the caption to the photo was 'The GED class of 2001')

very simple mmo... nothing too special but fun to pass the time by while getting paid at work :>


WARHAMMER Open Beta I believe opens tomorrow? Give that a shot... I'm thinking you'll dig it if you dug WoW so much.

Ill be picking up warhammer....but you think WoW was to grindy????I played WoW only for a few hours at my cousins house...but I honestly thought WoW was a fairly easy game to lvl and gear up in as compared to eq2....and I think the best adivce is to get rid of the short fuse

nah wow isnt grindy, it's highly quest based for xp, I was more referring to rf-online for being grindy. 1h and shield and hit hit hit hit hit hit hit (5hrs later) yay a level

any tips on losing the short fuse id be grateful for lol, but I dont really know how to shake it. when you're losing games to scrubs you should be raping thanks to lame stuff like mace stun (3 second random stun if you use a mace, likes to randomly happen while you're casting), or losing to easymode fucking combos like mage/rogue where all the rogue has to do is stun you while the mage rapes you, every time you hit the mage you get rooted in place by frostbite and the rogue dodges everything.

i mean the irony is i play a mace stun warrior and a rogue too lol, but I dont fucking like having to spec mace stun to compete (swords is way more fun), and i dont play with a mage in 2v2 so meh.

I mean I recently retired my 2/6 sunwell mage cause I was bored of it beyond belief and turned to pvp on my warrior, got s3 mace very easily when I started playing it properly so thats cool, but you cant pvp all the time true - i just got into a 4/5 BT and MH guild that took my undergeared warriors ass in. if you do nothing but pve it gets boring fast, if you do nothing but pvp you start wanting to nut every fucker left and right. fuck pug heroics though they're a bit retarded on my server, tanks that dont know how to use tab and cleave, healers that let people die because they think the tank cant take a hit or 2 before needing healing. that is if you even find one >_> ive just given up on shard of contempt :p

even tried all that breathing exercise shit to try and calm down and it didnt work, thankfully my 2v2 partner is like my brother from another mother like and he gets wound up quickly too, so we end up shouting at eachother down vent to the point where it becomes comical. and even if I log off after a nerdrage he'll just ring me constantly till I get back on.

Despite my long time outspoken dislike of MMORPG's, I recently tried out 2 Moons. If you've ever opened up Xfire, then you've heard of it. It's a free to play D2 clone (but not entirely D2 clone). It's very hack and slashy and the 6 classes to choose from are pretty original, and cool.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but for me it's a hack and slash game with leveled character progression.  That's all I need in an RPG.

I was going to play WARHAMMER (I started it in phase 2 closed beta) but they removed the class I planned to play (choppa). I played a sorc for awhile and that was a blast inthe close beta since they were so over powered. Don't think I'll play once it's released, I get way to competitive and carried away with PVP based MMORPGs... in DAoC I wasted more time then any wow addict playing that game... but I was #1 woot!
