YES!  Of course it's the end of the song!  Hendrix has smashed the fuck out of his guitar after setting it on fire with ighter fuel!

Seen that years ago when the movie "Monterey Pop" came out. That's simply footage from the movie. Jimi had just returned from a very successful debut in England with the Experience and wanted to really impress the American audience, who did not know him yet. So he went over the top as much as possible.
