Its an grenade weapons mod. Each grenade has its own special power, you should google up bang mod quake 2

yeah, you had bio grenades that sprayed damaging acid onto you.  There were laser grenades that could be left in a room and zap anything that got close to them (great for trapping your friends).  Force grenades did some hurt while knocking a person about 50 feet away, respectively.  Let's see, cluster grenades, powerful exploding fire grenades, and best of all the NUKE grenade.  Rocked the whole map nearly guaranteeing that all players were melted, squished, or burned. 

I never got the chance to play it with more than one or two people.  *sigh*
