I hope i posted it in the right place..

I was talking with some people, and also noticed this in many servers...
More people are using Hand Grenades more than ever before.
As a nade fanatic, I would like to take this opportunity to help people with their aim, and teach them about this very flexible wep.

The unofficial time is Next Saturday, July 26 at 6 PM Eastern Time. I will explain all the things that are possible with nades, as well as help them properly aim them at opponents.

I wanted to post here first to see if there was enough interest in this idea. Currently the btfffa server has a nade-only config, but that may be taken down soon.
Post here if you have any questions/interests about this idea.

Heh.

I love nades and this sounds like a great way to encourage their skillful use.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as nading that one guy who's been spamming them all over the place on the railz server, when he's getting 1 kill to 5 nades, and you hit him on the first try, right in the head.

yes, nades are a very good anti-camp wep, because they have such a long reach. There are many things that I can show, but so little time. For now, if any1 finds me online, just ask a nade question and i'll answer it.

If we get a nade only server, I'll host some kind of, perhaps silly, nade-only tourney with a prize of some value which I will be sent to the "winner".

First prize should be a pineapple injected with rum. I’ve been getting nailed lately with quite a few good nade tosses. My current nade strategy is quantity not quality, so I wouldn’t mind improving my accuracy. I’ll keep an eye out for ya when I’m on.

For the nade server Defiant, I think you could add a stock hand grenade-only config for the BANG server, that way you don't need to make another server.

As for the time, I have decided that it will be next Saturday at 6 PM.

To be able to throw or launch a grenade you must first have the appropriate model and an appropriate name and message bind to go with that model and weapon such as "I'm Green-Aid, i use the most powerful, least skillful weapon in the game ---mooo on you" you get the point

More seriously though, with the love so many players (of all skill ranges) have of "nades" i think a Grenade tournament would be lots of fun!!! just let me have a railgun

I found that since I added a .pak file that I made about 3 months ago or so, my ability to avoid nades has increased dramatically.

it's small and should work with any client running r1gl as the renderer or any that has .jpg or .png support for skins.

i'd like you to play me with nades, and see if your theory works

it seems good for spammers, but against experienced naders, it probably wont work too well

nothing will stop a nade to the face, but you wont see me step on many of them.

Should be able to create a q2dm1-nades.bsp.override which replaces each weapon with the grenade launcher and each ammo with grenades. Then, perhaps, it can run on the TS500 or bang server for the fun.

UPDATE: Verified I can easily make a .override file that changes q2dm1 to be nades and nade launchers.

Well this thing is going down next Saturday, 6 PM EST, server is TS500 since it has the nades config now.

It also gives a chance for me to show some good tricks on edge for nading offence and some defence tips that i know.
