Q2DM1 Bug?

Every so often the server changes to q2dm1 for some mad reason, despite what has been voted.
It then resets itself after a few seconds, kicking everybody in the process, and resets to forkjumping.

A known bug?  Fixable?

Hmm, strange...  I have not changed the config in months, other than recently deleting all the game state.

As though it's trying to write data to one of its *.u files, and horking somehow.

The q2dm1 map is not even on the Jumpmod maplist, and it's obviously an external cause which forces Jumpmod to load q2dm1... As for .u files, since it's not on maplist, Jumpmod binary can't modify related .u files.

Edit: server-common.cfg or smth like it? A script applied to all servers?

Dunno... it's not "obvious" from the .cfg or server logs.

q2dm1 is not mentioned in any config file used by jumpmod (including server-common).  And there is no rcon command in the server logs doing any map or gamemap at all, let alone q2dm1.

And, "sv_maplist" is "".

And, none of the config has changed recently anyway, that I can think of... So......... 

Here are the times it has happened so far:

I suspect it has something to do with the server reset.  q2dm1 may be a red herring (side-effect).

When it changes to DM1 it behaves like normal until somebody touches a gun, which triggers the server reset.  Is it trying to write stats to a file that doesn't exist?

Put q2dm1 in the map list so it will have somewhere to write to?

I think all servers have a subconscious urge to switch to Edge

You actually have to hit a gun and crash the server in order to change the map, then if an admin is on at the time they can force the map that was supposed to be on, but if theres no admin im afraid you are stuck with forkjumps lol

I would change it but i dunno the cmd, maybe i cant do it as a level 6 admin, not to sure though, but yeah i agree, forkjumps as a default map is pretty annoying
