Im the kind of person who hates man made 'chemical foods' and preservatives so i pick butter/sugar over margarine/aspartame anyways... but yeah I'll try to be less gullible
Most of these studies on artificial additives occasionally find some negative effect, but only at massive doses which don't exist in normal day-to-day life. Otherwise they're pretty benign. Also the assumption that anything "natural" is ok for you simply because they are produced in nature. This conveniently ignores things like toxic mushrooms, poisonous frogs, arsenic and other heavy elements and many other "natural" compounds.
The one thing I've always wondered about is any radio waves, electro-magnetic transmissions, wireless devices and all the similar stuff that transmits through the air. The planet is absolutely saturated with it. These have never existed in the planet's history until the last 80 years or so. Can all this really be completely harmless as we are bombarded with it every day and night? Seems very unusual compared to the last billion years or so.
