sadly enough, it's true, i really can't afford a five dollar mic. i really can't. and if i did have five dollars, i wouldn't spend it on a mic just to prove to one person that i have a vagina. it would most likely go to gas, or some other modern day bare necessity in life. playing quake 2 isn't anywhere near one my top priorities in life, it's just a hobby that i enjoy, so i'm sorry if i don't have a bunch of (money for) fancy equiptment at my disposal and still play on an old box monitor from like, '98, with a dysfunctional mouse, use my ipod headphones and, last but apparently most important, that i don't have a five dollar mic. and lets say that i do eventually get a mic, what would it matter to you? i wouldn't even consider talking to you. which leads me to this: i'm okay with you calling me "vinnie vicious", or whatever else you think is a clever pun on my name, because as far as i'm concerned, you are now a ghost to me. so you can save your little retort (which i doubt you'll do) because anything coming from you will fall on deaf ears. and just so i have all my bases covered and you say something like, "it was just a joke", well, fuck you, it was a bad one. and has been. also, to anyone who is kind enough to speak up in my defense, be careful, he might say something implying that you're gay.

A better response in this situation that wouldn't cause so many hard feelings would be for you to be flattered that he cares enough to try and find out if you're for real, even if his methods are a bit caustic in your opinion.

He actually seems to have shown quite a bit of restraint in his dealings with you as compared to the way he acts with certain other players who we know to be male.

Who cares, assume the person is male, but don't outwardly call them on it unless you have some proof and you want to make fun of them for pretending.
