I accidentally went onto tastyspleens vanilla server with a cheat client, and got kicked off. Luckily I wasn't banned. I just selected the wrong thing in my Q2 address book.

I don't see why that kind of behavior shouldn't get you banned here as well.

No really, I'm telling the truth. I usually use my address book in the join servers section. I have a few different servers, such as EDGE and I used to have Kansas DM, in my address book. However, I selected the wrong one when I was tryna go AW Rails and I didnt even notice till I entered the server and saw I didnt have a railgun. Then I checked what server I went to, saw vanilla, changed client, and humbly apologised. I said it wouldnt happen again!
Really, you GOTTA believe me this time - I dont wanna go down that path again. You know what I mean.

Cheating on any public server is wrong in my opinion.

Cheating ruins the game for the other players for your selfishness. People won't play if they feel that cheating is prevalent -- which shrinks the small Q2 community we have.

Most surprising is why you would think that cheating on someone else's server is "ok" as long as you don't cheat on the TS servers! If someone was robbing your neighbors place, would you think "hey, that's ok it's not my home!"?

I am glad that you are honest about it; but, have some respect for those who are playing this game with you.

Definitely wrong. On two counts

1) Integrity and morality are doing what is right (not cheating) as opposed to doing what is convenient (cheating). We aren't talking about some obscure or debatable tactic (such as camping), we are taking about C H E A T I N G. You are lowering yourself and validating cheating.

2) What is the strategy.. "to piss them off"? Not very smart to try to be a bigger jerk than someone because they were a jerk to you. What effect are you trying to gain? Seems to me this is ignoring the issue at hand (how they were a jerk). It is lowering yourself in their and the community's eyes. And, isn't going to change their behavior at all -- why would it?

If someone wrongs you, you confront them how they wronged you, or you confront their community to take action, or other options. If it is their server, and they are jerks, just don't go to their server!

Overall, being a bigger jerk is hardly a wise strategy.
