When I want map variety and a fresh killing experience I leave mutant and goto vanilla.

It seems like maps that are overplayed in vanilla are moved into mutant's rotation. Maybe I just don't like those maps and notice them more just because I dislike them, but if I play ferrit hole or the tastyspleen themed map (with the knife and fork texture billboard) one more time, I'm going to scream.

They're there... (on the first line) ... The list is mostly alphabetical, but relatively recently added maps are at the front of the list (unsorted).

Nope... in practical terms, there is no limit.

I would like to see jehdecay in the rotation but I'm not sure about light or dark version. I prefer dark version but it usually sifts out the crowd. So the I have to ask for the lighted version.

I'd like to see Dirvish's giant map with the laser fences and laser hallway (someone help me out with the mapname)

I would like to see Razor's evso1 (with a few item tweaks in some ent files)


Also most of general's maps would be good choices, but I'd rather get more user input about which ones.

Yeah, the lit version would probably be more "cool" for most people. Not that I want to be a one-map band though. Working on a few more, as work and school permits. Actually, I've got q2, all my configs, and GTKRadiant all on a 2gb flash drive now. I'm now a mobile mapper Means that the time gaps at school can be spent doing compiles.

Anywho, a bigger rotation would be great for everybody, especially considering the pool we have to choose from. I'm sure you got something up your sleeve quadz, as always.

Mutant –
     Maybe all of the maps ( after you delete the worst ones ) should be the rotation—You might say no one would want to stay for most of the maps (especially at the current timelimit) but therein lies the problem of the current rotation –there are always good and bad maps to someone but we need to have a good solid classic rotation for everyone.  Problem 1--You can mymap ‘your map’ but this does not work because it is not anonymous and therefore stating that ‘I’ am going to beat you on this map I mymapped and players will play accordingly. So we need a good base rotation ( if it isn’t going to be all of the maps) which is impossible to decide without the help of ALL of the players who play those servers but since very few voice an opinion we need to intuit what they want ---so what am I driving at … just that we need a poll or something for players to vote on suggested maps added to the rotation or mymap list on the servers –because we do not want people just suffering through too many maps.

  A strong suggestion would be to make the rotation a combination of all the previous rotations on mutant and leave it at that.

Vanilla –
   It is nice to have something here to mymap other than just baseq2 and dm1-8 but there is a balance to be reached --- bugdm5, gmap1dm2, hammer, outpost, ranbase2—might make people wish it was train or space.  Considering Problem 1 above maybe certain maps on mymap should be added to the rotation just like tastydm2 such as -- bigspacegunup, campcity, hardange, japang, koth1, koth6, stellar and wtf!2 and if that was done then there could be more maps added to the mymap list since maybe they wouldn’t need to mymap these(yeah right) but I know there is a problem of too large of downloads and additional textures, etc but plenty of maps would be fun such as— predm1, city64 and uh, uh   maybe that was it


Dm –
     I miss q2dm1 but the rotation of quad on and quad off is excellent.


Rails-
     A variety of maps is always great between silly, close rail, far rail, spawn fest, and z-axis shooting.
