King of the Server. (Quake 2 Mod).

Hello all, this is my very first post here on Tastyspleen. I'm very happy one of your members referred me here, it seems like you've got quite a large community. I'd like to take a minute and tell you about a mod that's been around for about 8 years. It's called King of the Server. It's been the most addictive and fun game i've ever played and i've been playing for about 7-8 years now.

King of the Server is an Action/RPG for Q2. You gain experience, credits (money). When you level up, you can upgrade your weapons, and countless different abilities that are part of 7 different Player Trees:

Wisdom
Technical
Strength
Spirit
Dexterity
Rage
Karma

These abilities include: Cloaking, Flying, Regenerating Health/Armor, Weapon Knock, Random Quad Damage, Stealth, Ammo Steal, Creating Fake Health Drops/Shards, Fast Grapple/Hook, Fast Swimming, High Jump(allowing you jump again in mid-air), Fast Weapon Switching, Damage Enhancement, and many MANY more. You can also get consecutive kills in a row(6) and start a Spree. You'll start to glow green and receive massive points bonuses. Others will try to kill you because you'll be worth more points. If you reach 25 kills in a row, you're on a Spreewar. You'll glow White and everyone else will be Red, them against you.

Every three levels you get a Power Point. Powers include:

Expacks (fake back packs fill with explosives)
Spiral Tornado (pics on the site!)
Throw (jedi mind tricks.. =)
Bide (BFG ball from hell, releases stored energy from damage taken while timer running)

We have what's called Global Data Server that saves all of our information, upgrades, experience, stats, kills per minute, points per minute. We have 5 servers between US, UK, and Chile and they're all linked to our Global Data Server (GDS).  We've got our website, forum, and servers section. Yesterday I spent 6 hours developing a Myspace page for KotS. We're really looking to expand our community and give others the opportunity to play this amazing mod.

Spend 10 miinutes in one of our servers and you'll be hooked forever.

Sounds like the most intense Q2 mod EVER. To bad I already spend my time and money on a normal MMORPG :<
