That spamming thing was a joke...a satire on people who actually DO spam "IT'S NOMINATE! !!" People do far far worse than that and nobody bats an eyelid.

I did it ONCE ONLY. Anybody on the server will tell you I don't do spam. It annoys the fuck out of me sometimes so I don't do it. That case was very exceptional. It was a JOKE on SPAMMERS. Yes, I reacted badly. I agree it's a good example of a silencing situation and I hope you really do keep to your word about that and silence the real spammers.

Considering the abundance of spam that goes on in the server you certainly picked a very atypical example to show. I realise it was easy to pluck it from your admin forum and it was Lohmatiy who posted that dump.

I'd rather you keep on, as you say, joining under an alias, and see who the REAL spammers are because it certainly fucking isn't me.

Lol Haunted ive said hello a few times to you, as when people who's names i recognise connect i say hello mostly all the time, and as you say you have been away in college so thats why i say i aint seen you in ages, but you dont know me enough to say that i bend the rules, wtf ? If you have proof of that then please show me, i have no problem with you at all, never have done, i was just backing myself up as to what you said. Anyways i dont care now, the topics over really, quadz has sorted it out thank goodness, so i will drop it now, ive even told lohmatiy that today too, as long as that script is blocked, then im happy

I dont make much posts/complaints as you can see the amount under my name and i wont bother you again unless a similar circumstance like this happens again, or if some idiot is reconnecting to vote etc....

How does it feel to persist with this drama-fest continuously debating authority with administration? Do you like doing so? If yes, you need to realize how ridiculous you are and this new method is needed. If no, follow my instructions to avoid consequences. End of discussion.

Yes, in single player too. This 'disabling' is, basically, improvement in cheat protected variables code for multiplayer mode

Edit: my R1Q2 build 7587 crashes if I try "demomap demoname.dm2", and demoname.dm2 doesn't exist in the current demos folder. Does it act like this on your computer? Need to know, if this is a common crash case.

Im not talking about gettin kicked!

I'm referring to using timescale on a local server to watch a demo.
If timescale is "disabled" in newer r1q2 client builds, I'd be left without the option of fast forwarding a demo with that client, and since it records in a protocol that no other client can even run, I'd be shit outta luck.

If it's just an option to disable it's use in newer builds of r1q2 server, then its no problem.

I was wondering if it would be built into the client or if it would be a cvar that you would have to set in the server config to stop it's use, on a given server that you are running.

I tried it in build 7431 and 7587... both of them just say "file not found / ShutDownGame". But no crash.

Lohmatiy had said above that it's only disabled during multiplayer games, not during single player, or playing demos.

(Haven't tried it yet myself.)

Well the update seems to be working sound for me

but i get disconnected when i minimize quake to go on aim or send a text via internet, it gives a message that i am using a proxy side client, but i dont mind as i just reconnect

but quadz can you please tell me what it means when that happens? i know its nothing serious but i just want to know if there is a way to prevent it

if there isnt i dont mind reconnecting as if i was in the middle of a map on a good time i wouldnt minimse quake lol

but if you have any information how to prevent it, it would be helpful, cheers me dears Whiz.
