No socks or underdrawers for me.... which is strange.  My folks have always proven to be die-hard traditionalists. They also didn't FORCE my sister and I to stand in front of the Xmas tree for our traditional yearly photo with our equally traditional annoyed and sour expressions on our faces. (She's in her 30's now and I'm 27, Yeeeeeah, can somebody please blow my brains the fuck out now?) I thought my folks would have to DIE before they gave up on that bullshit. Hooray for alzheimers!

a two-disc aural documentary of Jaco Pastorius' early life and works (A Portrait of Jaco: The Early Years) ... this is really nicely put together.

a Jaco Pastorius: Modern Electric Bass instructional DVD, made in 1985, two years before his death.  (Even in his diminished state with all the troubles in his life when this was made, he plays better than 99% of bassists...amazing...)
