AprQ2 soft particles

There is a command in AprQ2 that allows the particles to glow/look soft like EGL. 

Anyone know the command?  i know Adam does, but he is rarely around.

Though they aren't technically "soft" like EGL's - that would require them to be individually physics reactant (ie bouncing off of the ground, etc).
