it has seriously bothered me to this point
i used to not care about it like you say, but it hounds me everytime i play someone better than myself

im going to try and get away from this way of thinking, by doing so im going to start playing the vanilla server
ya ya ya, people who know me know that i hate it with everything i got

but i think it will help me get over this stupidity

Being competitive in an 9 year old game isn't easy. Pretty much the left overs playing now are the best of the best (something you should be proud of being a part of)... You just need to realize that people are capable of besting you are what ever it is you do. Nobody (no matter what they claim) is going to be "the best" at Quake 2 or at anything else for that matter. You need to find the true fun in competition. You win some you lose some... it's just how it goes (we don't love them hoes).

i understand that, i know all about it

i just dont like really being competitive
and thats why i have stuck to FFA

but i feel that im forced into it now, and it pisses me off

tell ya what, next time he says "ez" remind him that he still has 5 different 1v1 offers to play, against various insta players that he claims to be better than, which he's been avoiding for months now, like the plague.

You might wanna ask him how he thinks beating someone in an FFA is "owning" too. I've still never gotten a straight answer on that.

plastik says that he used to 'mop the floor with me countless times in both rails and tdm' but for some reason he currently refuses to play me.. But why would I honestly care about a newbie like him talking trash to me? it's not like anyone in the community actually believes it. Dude is so horrible that I'd be impressed if he only got in the LOW negatives against me, don't take his shit seriously. If you're bored, you should try shit talking the ppl like him that are actually detrimental to the q2 community.
