Haha, actually that side of the spacebar get used while typing. Any gaming uses the left side of it, and it only has a small slight indent there.

I use spacebar to bring up rl, and I think there mught be a SLIGHT wear pattern in that side.
For that to go all the way thru though I would have to play for another 15 years

I've worn a groove in the down-arrow key on 2 keyboards because of Quake. It happens because the edge of my thumbnail hits it at a certain angle. I guess the principle is the same as the convict who uses a spoon to scrape a hole through the wall of his cell. Just a little bit every day.....

I have a Focus 9000 PS/2 keyboard that I've had since, um, 1998? And I still use it. There is a bit of a "polished" area on the space bar where my thumb has hit that area many many times over the years. I doubt I'm anywhere near penetrating the thickness of the plastic though =)

I do need a new keyboard... USB would be good. Can anybody recommend a good and comfortable (comfort is important) gaming/general purpose keyboard?
