Hi

for this moan but it really annoyed me.

i was in jump today and was playing a map what i really wanted to complete.

there was only me and one other in the server (rehash) he voted for a different map and i didn't pass it... he had completed it, i hadn't.. and wanted to!
so he connected under another name and voted the map off (so in other words he was connected twice) to force the vote
is this allowed?

i aint a moaner and wouldn't normally bother posting anything, i get on with every one in every server i play in. but this pissed me off something wicked.

there is always someone disconnecting and reconnecting to gain more votes but thats just spam if people dont want it they dont vote (simple). "that i can deal with"dosn't bother me, but when people connect multiple times to pass a vote there is nothing you can do.

map gone they win! VERY ANNOYING !!!

i dont want anybody banned "even though i wouldn't have minded him being banned at the time"

but was just wondering if there was a way in the server config to stop an "ip" connecting more than once because i no this happens alot?

Not allowed

I remember you used to have to do that to get votes to go with only yourself and wallfly in the server,
But I think that was fixed,

yea a mute would be good then he can't vote at all.

i agree that if you stopped multiple connections from the one ip it would stop others on the same network from playing. and would be unfair to others in the household. so thats a no go!

anyway i wasent looking for a punishment

All he should receive is a warning from an Admin. (first offense rule) Unless of course, you have proof of him doing this on multiple occasions?

Feel free to vote mute him as the majority pleases though.

no admins around... and no, dident happern to me on multiple ocasions.

as i said anyway not really botherd about any sort of punishment for him only made the thread realy to see if there was a way of stopping it, so it cannot happern again... but, there isent ive looked into it.

so i will leave it to admins to sort out.

but thanks for the feedback guys. i have one condump! and if it happerns again ile have a second then maybe there will be something i can do. until then no point in persuing this matter any further. ile just leave the

to it for now.

yea it was about what he did... and the way he did it, but the thread was aimed at trying to find a soloution to the problem, and to find out if he had done it before!! not to be ridiculed and twisted into a slanging match
