Has anyone played this game?

I played through it over the last couple days and really enjoyed it.

It's a first person puzzle game accompanied by a darkly satirical and increasingly sinister storyline.

I don't want to spoil anything... the writing was pitch perfect; i was in tears laughing a couple times. (Emo?)

How does it work?

Destination portal first or is it your entry portal that the gun fires?

I'm picking up the Orange Box for my 360 at the end of the month. Episode two of Halflife looks to be really interesting.

Destination portal first or is it your entry portal that the gun fires?

After the first few training levels, the gun is modified to be able to create both blue portals and orange portals.  Neither is really an entrance or exit, they form a bi-directional pair.  (Only a single blue portal, and a single orange portal can exist at any given time. Firing again just re-creates (moves) that portal type.)

(BTW - although the WikiPedia page for Portal explains this nicely, I recommend NOT reading it prior to playing, as it completely spoils the plot for the game...  )

But yeah, I'm pretty impressed with Episode Two so far, they really went all out with new artwork and map design.

Episode One was pretty neat with the way you had to fight off the horde of armored zombies with shotties.

actually im gonna play some right now while i wait for portal custom maps!

i liked both games alot
found ep2 to be pretty hard in spots my first run through

portal was great, but im still stuck on course 18
cant for the life of me figure out how to get that box in the large room area

Warning: the following is a hint:

If only there were some way to find a 45-degree angle surface for a nice long distance trajectory.
