So everytime im in RA2 and this asshole is here, he always tells me how bad I am and how much I suck etc etc etc, so I ask em for a 1v1..no demo, cuz I thought id lose (his talk kind of had me thinking he'd win)...I was supprised to say the least how bad he actually was, below is the condump of the match--not saying it makes me good, just makes me better than this bitch.

Unfortunately RA2 chat can resemble jump chat... but the difference is that these big mouth RA2 players are elitist dumb assholes not just dumb assholes.

deft is one of the few ra2 players who can make the transition to tdm and not suck ass.

so easy to go from tdm to ra2 though

Ok so there's what a dozen or so really good tdm players that play basically 24/7. Since those dozen can join up ra2 and do well then it's obviously easy for any tdm to join ra2 and do well? Not really the case. reaper for example (point being you have to be good at tdm as well, not just play it)... This dozen players are just plain really good at Quake2 all around so of course they are going to join any mod and place well. You have to look at the standards of a good Q2 player now a days... also the amount of players. The same 20 people play ra2 a night... your logic that any tdm player can join ra2 and do well is based off the total of what... 30 people that play tdm quake2? lol... unfortunately only a dozen or so of that 30 can place well in ra2.

But I do agree that the transition for a ra2 player to TDM has far less of a chance of going well. Like a good ra2 player playing tdm against a ok tdm player... the odds are most likely in the tdm players favor.

I don't see how the way CC acts is any different then how you act krez... you're a total prick on ra2 as most of cc is. It's to bad there is maybe 2 or 3 excellent q2 players that actually deserve respect. You can be really good but if you have a sucky attitude then don't expect respect.

if i feel like trying, i get top 2-3 in ra2, sometimes even first, and i am an average tdm player. tdm is just where most of the talent is, the game is less "lucky" to.

Well to play tdm you have to be more skilled, yes this is true--starting with armor, all weps and the ability to nade/rocket jump all over the place may be part of RA2, but it's those traits that make TDM a mod for the more skilled player--not to take anything away from RA2 because there is some good people who play it and it can be a blast at times, I just think TDM involves more skill due to the map control you have to use.
