That was pretty awesome actually. I especially love how the megaman 1 cover art gets used. 

I'm thinking about moving my server back over to megaq2. I just have to make sure that my dll is up to date. I haven't hosted it since my server harddrive died a long while ago.

I think that you should. It appears that many people here love the game (even in it's current state) and want a server to play on.

Friar's the Bomb. The only reason I never added Metal Blade as requested is that I'm too lazy. It's going to take a bunch of work to  make it right because metal blade is the most powerful weapon in the whole series. So it's going to be a ton of work to do it justice while making it balanced.

fuck balance! I WANT TO KICK MAJOR ASS WITH METAL BLADE!    Mega man wasn't balanced: spike pits, lava pits, bottomless pits, etc. and there was no save! 

I'd say the hardest part would be making it fire @ precisely 0, 45 & 90 degrees from a non-angled player POV. 

EDIT: and I can model a metal projectile.

Plus all but megaman 1 lets you walk on spikes while flashing.

Mymap has to be specifically configured on the server. It's not available on most of the independant zone.


There are a few single player maps that I put together. You can find cutman and needleman test maps in this thread. There is also a dustman map that is completed but waiting for a boss model. (*cough* beanstorm*cough*)

I have designs ready for skullman and crashman levels but they are not finished. Teo had made a pretty good rough design for crashman based on my sketches but it didn't get any further than that.

nice.. I wouldn't have any money to pay for this, But if I did I would, I grew up on megaman, Wasn't a big fan of megaman legends, But 3d megaman would be the shit, You'd be a legend in my book

I was fooling around with this game for a while I conjured up some ideas (and I still have no idea how to calculate units when making a model *cough*peewee_RotA*cough*);

Why not have the ammo be universal? Let it supply whatever weapon you have equipped when you pick it up (and possibly change colors to the gun you have, but there might be a problem as every other player would have to see what color you're seeing, too, and vice versa), and maybe make an Ammo Balancer from Mega Man 10 as an item.

I got this idea from Transformers Quake II; when you enter a map, it would be cool to be able to choose your own character; Mega Man, Proto Man, and Bass should be included. And upon selecting them, have new rules apply to them (ie. Double Damage, Proto Charge, Bass Boost, etc.).

I think that when you jump underwater, you move quite a bit faster; it seems to slow to me.

I might add a few more if I can think of any...
