Two Questions! Someone help me :D

Ok.. first off, is there any way to make Q2 brighter? Brightness on monitor and brightness in video option are turned all the way up and it's still dark as hell. Second, when I try to connect to tastyspleen Railz it keeps saying connection refused.. but I can connect to the DM server just fine, I thought maybe it was because I didn't have the mod or the maps, so I downloaded them all and it still won't let me connect.. any help would be greatly appreciated

I fixed the brightness problem.. but none of the threads about connections being refused seem to match my problem, any solutions? I can connect to tastyspleen.net::dm but not tastyspleen.net::railz so I have no idea what to do

Strange.  I don't see anything on railz that looks like it would ban your IP.

Before you try to connect, please make sure your name is set to something other than "Player", and your skin is set to something normal like "male/grunt".  If you still can't connect let me know and we'll troubleshoot further.

i'm not sure the skin would be an issues since Slipknot uses no skin what-so-ever.  Which is fun to use against him and call him a skin hax0r.

Does this happen on all servers (tastyspleen.net, east.tastyspleen.net, and tx.tastyspleen.net) ?

Take a look at the server status page:
http://tastyspleen.net/quake/servers/list.cgi

Can you get on any servers from the various hosts (tastyspleen.net, east.tastyspleen.net, and tx.tastyspleen.net) ?

Also, what happens if you ping these various hosts (tastyspleen.net, east.tastyspleen.net, and tx.tastyspleen.net) from the command line (or DOS box)?
