The first time I went down to Florida I couldn't believe the senior drivers there. They were coming at me from all angles. Signs were ignored as well as traffic around them. If they wanted a spot on the road they simply went there, regardless of a car already occupying that space. Don't know what the rules are in the States but in Canada there is mandatory testing every 2 years past a certain age.

Yeah it's bad here, Vancouver BC.

Combine the elderly with the fraudulent Licenses out of the immigrant population here and you get some pretty nasty snarls. My GF has her back permanently cramped because a Chinese lady @ age 65 obtained a fake DL because she failed the road test 5 times. My GF sued her, her family for negligence, and ICBC for not confirming her license was genuine when they gave her insurance. She got $25k.

Some of the things that are happening with immigrants these days is getting out of hand. ( I'm not targeting any specific culture here, but if you are coming to a country, respect the damn laws.)

I think it's great to have people re-license after two years. Keeps you sharp and up to date. But Vancouver needs to get rid of the Graduated license program for people over 25. It's ridiculous to limit people beyond a certain point of responsibility.

yeah this old guy almost killed me on the thruway last week, tried to go right in front of me without seeing me goin about 75, lucky no one was in the fast lane, so split second i cut over. i've seriously had more problems with old people than drunk drivers, ahh well there both bad, but seriously the old people seem the worst to me

Every time you see one just call the DMV (or equivalent) and report them as a dangerous driver. With enough complaints they get investigated and ultimately dealt with. Of course you don't get any feedback if they actually do something but it never hurts to simply report what is actually happening. Do it to all ages...see a punk acting like a nadeclown behind the wheel...report his ass because he might actually hurt someone next time.

I agree, Its not only old people.
I also believe 16 yrs old is WAY to young to be driving. Most 16 yr olds are complete retards with an "It won't happen to me" attitude.When I think of myself at 16....

I think it should be 18.

16 year olds have jobs, school activities and go to friends houses across town. There is no way I'm driving their ass back and forth from that stuff. 16 is fine age for driving.

They also have 2 feet and a heartbeat, or transit system.
Also they have motorized bicycles now, no license required. (and I think scooters are like that, no license required)

LOL, Florida, land of the old drivers. It's even worse during the Winter months when all the old people from up north come down $:-\$

Lot's of drunk drivers in my area too.

yeah, i noticed when i moved down to florida from omaha, nebraska how much more drinking and driving there was. It is not abnormal to feel that 30% of the drivers around you are intoxicated, weaving, etc. But some of that might just be blue hairs.

I've got a partial solution. Anyone deemed guilty of causing a traffic accident, make his drivers liscense motorcycle only for at least a year.

i'm with art. Motorcycling is one of the few ways that nature is still controlling the evolution of man. The safety of common vehicles has severely dealt a blow to survival of the fittest. It is trashing the gene pool in a large way.

On a side note, i just got a DRZ 400 art.
