Are we ready to switch all tourney servers to OpenTDM?

I agree that the large hud numbers look very nice when used for each team's score, and if it wouldn't screw the pooch on formatting the text to line up, I think they would look great superimposed on the gxmod scoreboard.

They make for highly readable screenshots.


the voting menu ala OSP, would be a nice feature as well.
I think it's pretty useful to be able to scroll through the available settings in the menu before
going to the command line to enter a vote command.

The ASE built-in teamplay filter is hard coded to only show certain types of server. Here is a custom filter I made to include OpenTDM:

rich, i know you already created the filter for ase.  can we make your server respond to ase requests with tdm settings, or have r1q2 update ase automatically.  i don't mind hitting goto, but i think less players might be playing, or maybe it's just me I don't know!

I can't do anything to fix ASE unfortunately besides the new filter. You can find a list of OpenTDM servers at http://opentdm.net/?a=servers too. I also plan on some kind of global-master system as well which should help people find servers.

the only things that I can think of that were released with OSP, that opentdm does not have so far, are built in gladiator bots, a shitty frontend server config editor, and lithium mod settings that barely anyone uses.

you could also implement that shnazzy botnet code (which magically decompiles with comment lines intact) that you supposedly wrote into AC so you could take over the world using q2 servers.
