Well, I thought it would be fun to actually do this after all instead of laming out with the "i have nothing to add" excuse. These people all regularly mop the floor with me; there are plenty of others who do, too, but if any of these are in the game when I am, I consider it a moral victory if I get 2/3 or even half their number of frags. In no particular order:

maybe because they change names more than most of the others on
the lists.

as well as being good players, they are both very pleasant, NON-CAMPING chaps.

Isn't Mike and A Damn Fool one and the same? If not there playing style is VERY similar... but yeah they are good players but eh... i guess everyone has there favs.

Mike Rotchburns plays like "TheUltimate". Definitely skilled, but I don't know if I'd agree with the "non-camping" description. Could be a difference in how we define camping. I find that he lays in wait a lot, preferring to ambush from up high. Camping in the truest sense? Maybe, maybe not.

One guy who's really improved over the years (and despises me, and I'm not even sure why anymore) is Gorfus. He's been winning a bunch lately on the server. Promise you won't tell him that I'm singing his praises....God forbid the Hatfields/McCoys feud ends! heheh

Yes Spike. That is what the / (slashes) are indicating.

That they are different names for the same guys.

I consider both of those guys on a similar level to me (altho damn fool has been on the server constantly lately and has cleaned my clock quite a few times in a row recently), which is why they werent in MY list.
Just thought with all the other lists that they would have been mentioned at least once.

They are highly visible.

As for damn fool camping.... i have not NOTICED it.
i like to be sure before i accuse people of camping, by getting campkilled at least 3 times in a similar way from them, or spectating them.

Its really hard to tell if people are camping on certain levels.
If you arent spectating to see if they are hanging around and waiting.

I'll be the first to admit that my gameplay, save for the last couple of days, has been horrid. Mediocre at best, for some reason. I just dumped an older flaky motherboard for something newer, so if that helps, I'll be all for it! Otherwise, no excuse, sadly...

10. Wedge, if he's there often enough to count (have only really seen him on Mage anyway, but saw him mentioned here by others)

and honorable mention - WallFly[BZZZ], I've yet to connect to the server without this guy there, and he's always spectating. I've yet to see him play, but with all that watching, I bet he's learned a thing or two about a thing or two!

That's it off the top of my head. I'm sure there's others I totally forgot about, doesn't mean I'm not impressed by your skills. Just another persons opinion =)

im a long time quaker and usually dont play alot in the summer but it seems this server has won over all the top notch players. looking at the list are fun..... all you guys kick ass. i havent won in a while so im really stoked to get get a 2nd or 3rd place finish against the caliber of players here. ill see alot of you guys this winter. that guy jquesstt rules all.

Wow, ok so most of you will probably laugh that I'm just now posting to these threads but I just started to use this Forum. I had to search my name and saw I was listed on a few of your all-star picks (appreciate the nod) and thought this was an interesting thread. I figured I'd put down my all-star team. I'm really bad with quake2 nicknames but a few come to mind that I think are damn good quake players. So here's my 9 top All-star team if I were to put one together in no particular order.... Of course there are probably alot more, maybe I'll come back and edit this next time I'm on a server and one of you that aren't on my list kicks my butt, but until then, this will work
