I wrote this for a girl I had a fling with right after High School..

she was just barely jailbait at the time, yet her parents threatened to file a restraining order against me after they learned that I was one of her older brothers friends, and not some punk kid from her school.

I wish I still had some of the poster sized artwork that I drew for her too.
I did a series of fantasy scenes in black/white pencil that were fucking amazing, but I haven't seen them or her,
'since we parted ways when I was nearly 20.

Helpless.

At times the depth of my despair,
rivals that of oceans blue and fair.
Oh, how I long to sit and stare,
taking in your eyes, your face and hair..

Or to hold for one brief space in time,
our bodies close, just yours and mine.
My soul, I'd give, for just a sign,
of love from you, my gorgeous crime.

I'd give all, and nothing take,
for not God's, nor mine, but your own sake.
Tho' a life of pain is all we'd make,
For love and joy, were pleasure's take.

The bet, I made and slowly lost,
has left me torn, and tempest-tossed.
You Lied, and now my heart bears frost.
My freezing pain, and grief: The cost!

Now sad and lone, my spirit lies,
and the ecstacy you gave, now dies.
I'm scared and tired and out of tries
to look, one last time, into your eyes.
