GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS!

R1CH has been working on a new open source TDM mod. We have a test version running now on tourney2. The more y'all try it out and give feedback regarding bugs or feature requests, the better it will get.

"Open"TDM means that the code can be updated, whereas the code to OSP isn't available. So even though everything may not be perfect yet, it can be fixed and improved to surpass OSP.

One little thing I noticed is that it isn't set to allow timelimit voting during a match.

Now also tourney4. There is no escaping the bugs!

Please post any feature suggestions / bug reports at www.opentdm.net - no registration required. Some "basic" things are still yet to make it in, eg a proper spectator / team scoreboard, stats, better / customizable hud, hitsounds and other popular features from the other TDM mods.

But he had opentdm both on tourney2 and

many players have been complaining about some little things (cant invite ppl to teams during games) and some big things (hyperblaster stops you from moving when getting hit in air and on ground). I'm guessing thats one of the reasons its only on one server atm.. once r1ch fixes most of the bugs and adds missing features it will probably replace all the servers' mods, but don't take my word on it.

This is essentially it, yes. Initially removing OpenTDM from tourney2 was an unplanned consequence of migrating everything to the new server hardware in January. But I ended up leaving it that way--partly out of laziness, and partly because of the number of gameplay issues that were being reported about OpenTDM, including the ones naymlis mentions above.

I need to follow through and gather up the various OpenTDM issues people have raised, and post them all in one place...

i'm sure R1CH didn't anticipate that the slighest things would annoy the fuck out of us.

I always forget what the problem was, so I can't report it, but we should be more dilligent, and with R1CH's hard work, make it the best mod!

Heh the hyperblaster glitch sounds pretty cool. Does it make the HB more effective/a better weapon if you use it for hindering movement?
