as for lapacious, i assume you MUST have misspelled that, there is no entry in the proper dictionary, and there isnt even any websites that contain that word, you also misspelled synapism, or made that one up like lapacious

Hehe.  Nothing is misspelled - it's all wordplay.  It's not Entomology - the study of bugs - hence my being "bugged" by your interest in the Etymon of my word.

Synapism is a mustard plaster - irritating the skin - sounding similar to cynicism, but also indicating the irritation caused by reading your reply (not really).

Dipilitating like depilatory meaning hair removal resulting in baldness - sounds of debilitating.  See my afro?

Enthymeme - one of them self-absorbed-philosophical-sesquipedelian delights - a syllogism with the third part missing.  Just a bit to test your word comprehension and toy with you - you are an English major after all.

My word "Lapacious" is actually a nonce word and it is one of the words I generally use when trying to end a discussion with a pedant.  They usually just look puzzled and wonder "what the hell did he just say" as I walk away grinning. 

I do base my meaning on "Lapidary" meaning gemstones polishing, but the word itself means:

"A meaningless and pretty word that shines and mystifies like a polished gem, meant to daze and confuse the recipient"

For the unofficial record, I am a lover of words and have studied historical linguistics on my own and find word development and the genetic relations between languages fascinating.

If the tone of my message was "stuffy" then I achieved my purpose.  I am a confessed practitioner of Thesaurus, but mostly for play.

mustard plaster is sinapism, hence what i meant by misspelling

i didnt know about depilatory, but dipilitating is a neologism like assumptious which is why i incorrectly assumed it was a misspelled dibilitating

had to look it up, it wasnt that evident to me, i never have said for fucks sake, i have said for gods sake before, but rarely, i dont see why people would want to abbreviate it seeing as i dont see many people using that phrase in the first place
