the movie just came out, and the modders for TFQ are about to release a new version with alot of new updates...

id really like to see a transformers quake server, if theres available bandwidth?

Lat time I heard about the transformers mod was on ModCentral and I thought the project died before completion.

it never died, it had a lull time but its been steadily progressing for years now...

its about to have a big bunch of new content added pretty soon.

a single player campaign is in the works but the multiplayer is going really smooth, the levels look really trippy too, got some pretty good mappers working on it... alot of them are based on cybertron and have alot of wierd architecture... really neat to look at if youre stoned -_0

Grrr that server is not currently up. I'll post a message and see what's up over there.

I'll host this mod on my mod of the week server soon. I'll let you know when.

(P.S. can anyone help me set up q2admin to speed this up.. I'm a server newbie)

Looks like there are reports of the .dll being unstable, at server level, so we'll see how it goes.

had some interesting couple games, and learned a bit

bind KEY transform - you transform into whatever you are.

bind KEY switch - you can switch to different models.

The fun thing is you can transform into a plane and fly to something you normally couldnt reach, like the red armor on dm2, or the mega or something. Like having a hook or something. You battle in walking two footed mode, then can hit a key and fly away. pretty interesting. Really changes the dynamics of the game.

uhhh yeah the bugs are all being worked out in the new version...

there are also a billion extra player models... optimus, megatron, starscream... theres a BUNCH of them and about a zillion skins out there...

not sure exactly where at the moment though...
