Hey Quadz, (mod of the week again)

I'm currently in the works of setting up 2 dedicated servers. 1 for mod of the week and another for coop of the week.

These servers will be up all week and every sunday night I'll switch the deathmatch mod on server1 and the coop mod on server 2.

I just want to run a couple things by you because I really respect what you're doing for the quake 2 community.

First is, do you have a master server I can link a "setmaster" to and would it be okay if I used your server as a master

Second, I have no intention of taking traffic away from TS, and I would completely understand if you don't want me to mention this server on your forums, so I'll wait for your blessing before using your forums for it.

Lastly, some time in the distant future after I've been your loyal and faithful slave and personal hitman, is there anyway to get a link from the goto menu?

I know I'm asking a lot. I just really enjoy the chance to provide coop for things like brazen, rogue, and xatrix.

Nope, we don't run a master server.  Might be a good idea...

Here's the setmaster line our servers use:

setmaster master0.gamespy.com:28900 masterserver.exhale.de netdome.biz q2master.planetquake.com 206.222.86.244 192.246.40.37

It's no problem at all.  The more the merrier.  Post away...

That shouldn't be a problem, but your servers will need to be running q2admin.  (GOTO uses sv !stuff and sv !say_person.)

Thanks a lot

On a side note I found the 3.20 source code for Rogue and will soon have an updated coop with a few features. Any other suggestions are welcome.

I've downloaded the q2admin files which came with r1q2. I'm a real newbie at setting up servers with these modified servers/clients so do you know of any good references? I'm not gonna waste your time asking questions here that have probably been asked in some forum 30,000 times already
