Mouse issues
«
on:
June 20, 2007, 09:45:02 PM »
Just started playing again after a looooooooooong layoff and while I know that there is a little "reload" time between rail shots my mouse is giving me fits. The damn thing only shoots every other click of the mouse..........more than a little frustrating.
MS optical USB mouse.......nothing fancy.
Any ideas?
TIA

Might also want to check your netgraph. When connected to a server, type "netgraph 1" in your console.
If you see red lines on the graph, (packetloss), this can also cause shots not fire when the button is clicked.

i can certainly attest to packetloss causing the exact thing to happen in my case. the rail not coming out every time i click is only one of the things that was happening to me.. i couldnt see incoming rockets sometimes, didnt see rail trails (not as big of an issue) could not double jump..
gentlemen, feast your eyes on my netgraph from say 3 months ago, t4 i believe.

this is not wireless, and there were no other programs or downloads running besides q2. This is the ethernet my apartment complex has provided for 2 years. I ping in the 20-40 range, so its not like anyone would believe how shitty it is. ping reflects the speed of a connection and not quality.

Well it would be hard to argue that I don't need a new mouse............this one has more than a few miles and frags on it.
I take a look at the netgraph if I play later tonight.
Thanks for the help ya'll!

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
