Hey guys,

I was just thinking that perhaps the flagship run of the NADL should be Edge-only (q2dm1). (For those of you who are diehard Rage (ztn2dm3) or Chastity Belt (q2rdm2) fans who tend to play better on those maps versus Edge, I've included an option for your voice to be heard as well.)

Before everyone forms an opinion, I would just like to state that I too enjoy a variety of maps, especially in a duel setting (easier to beat up on the one-map wonders

I definitely get my fill of edge in pickup games. I like dm1, dm3, ztn2dm3, rdm2, and ptrip. I think 5 maps is good for a duel league. There are a couple other good duel maps like aerowalk, ztn2dm2, rdm7, and duel5.

I'm not a fan of dm2 (lifts), dm7 (meh), or match1 (garbage) for duels.

Anyway that's my opinion.

as much as i would despise a dm1 only first round, jeet does have a point. I'd go for it, a lot more people would sign up and it would better the tournament as a whole.

I played frdm3 on Pepps server today. I think it would be a really exciting duel map. It has a lot of cool angles.

I am just as anti-dm1 as you guys, saying you won't play because of it is just being stubborn though. jeet has a point, and it's only the first round. Dm1 is my worst map but I don't give a shit about where I place in this league, so i'm for it. Wouldn't it be nice to have an actual turn out in an NA tournament for a change? Plenty of eu tourneys have done the same thing. Also, dropping out of the league just because there's a dm1 only first round is even worse than not participating because you're only good at dm1. My opinion anyways.

BTW, I was told this is the map list for the NADL matches:

[11:14] <deft> q2rdm2, q2rdm7, ptrip, q2dm1, q2dm3, q2dm7, q2duel1, q2duel5, ztn2dm2, ztn2dm3

We have all of those on the server except q2duel1. So if anyone wants to upload that, that would be helpful.

I've configured an NADL server on tastyspleen.net:27990. (GOTO NADL) It may also be possible to run one on east.tastyspleen.net if there is enough interest.

it's the same thing as aerowalk i'm pretty sure, so you have it.

As far an an east NADL server goes, people will complain if they're playing someone that pings under 20 to central servers. I myself don't care though.
