This kind of BOX! (if the link even works...)

With a $3k budget for a new PC that's what I came up with.

Thoughts and comments welcomed...

Keep in mind...

I am Intel only. - CPU
I am Nvidia only. - Graphics
I am ASUS only. - Mobo
I am Crucial only.  - Memory
I am Western Digital only. - Hard Drives

Those 5 brands I will never walk away from. I have had years and years of nothing but good experiences with those brands.

Also...

I choose x2 150GB 10,000 RPM drives because I do not store on my computer. Only thing that will be on those RAID drives will be programs. I keep storage externally.   

I am aware of some issues with this setup. I believe the Striker Extreme Mobo has issues with 4GB of memory. I carefully selected the type of memory that will be the most reliable with this Mobo but perhaps not the fastest possible (quicker memory is not as reliable currently). There is also a problem with the sound card selected. I am hoping by the time I get purchasing rolling they will release a driver that will work better with the nForce Mobo. (Mobo has it's issues but it's to badass to turn down)
