Clarification please.  Is an admin allowed to cancel a kick/silence vote against himself?  Sat through 3 or 4 of santher's chosen nominated (hard) maps today for which he votes and gets extra time on each, which is fine.  Then a nice easy map comes on and santher tries to vote it off at earliest opportunity.  Annoying for the people on the server who have ben waiting for a completable map for them, this includes myself.  So I try to silence him but can't because he's got his admin on (why?) even though he's not fixing any maps (are there any broken maps left?).  So I vote to kick him which he promptly cancels and then silences me without warning. This is contrary to several of the admin policy rules.  Normally I have no problem with santher and regard him as one of the better admins on jump but I'm fucked if I'll let him get away with this abuse.

I know nobody gives a shit about my opinions but if he's allowed to get away with doing this now he'll just end up doing whatever he likes in the future.  These things need to be stopped before they start.  He already gets pretty much everything he votes for going his own way, maybe this is why he thinks he can get away with this abuse.

What you people think doesn't matter...not that much thought appears to go on in your vacuous minds.  This stuff does not relate to you, does not affect you and your opinions are irrelevant.  You bring nothing constructive to this forum.

Tasty is probably the best jump server around at the moment.  We are lucky enough to have several mapmakers who post their maps here first and actually take feedback and suggestions from the players so they can make fun maps that people want to play.  Recently there have been more 'pro' players joining the server, people like Opkez and Hannibal which proves the credibility of the server.  It's not just a noob server and people care enough to want to improve their stats here.  A lot of good work has been done to make this server a cool place to jump.  It only takes a few bad decisions by an admin, wether that be silencing/kicking when inappropriate or even FAILING to silence/kick when it is appropriate to undo the reputation.

I want to see tasty jump carry on being tyhe success that I believe it is.  Admins need to look at the decisions they are making and make sure that they are RIGHT.  If I didn't care I wouldn't post.

As I recall, it's not even possible to silence an admin.  I'm surprised the mod even allows vote kicking an admin, but anyway...

On the whole, I don't really have a problem with an admin cancelling a kick vote against him or herself.  Mainly because, an admin shouldn't need to be kicked.  If there's some genuine reason an admin deserves to be kicked, then that would seem to indicate some sort of deeper problem exists.

Admins are there to fix maps, but also to maintain a certain level of disruption-free environment.

If you'll recall, the gist of the ADMIN POLICY FAQ in this thread is not even directed at fixing maps, but rather, "just how much crap admins are required to tolerate before they are allowed to slience, kick, or ban a troublemaker."

So the question becomes: did santher tolerate enough of your crap before he silenced you? 

On the one hand, as an admin, santher should probably have more tolerance of playing "easy" maps then he would as an ordinary player, since part of being an admin is paying a little more attention to whether everyone is having fun, not just yourself.

On the other hand, he didn't do anything wrong as far as using the regular vote system to try to vote off your map.

For which you attempted to have him kicked from the server.  (And probably started bitching and moaning as well, but I haven't seen the condump.)

It is tempting to add a rule 5a. to the FAQ: "When in doubt, it is almost always OK to silence ToxicMonkey."
