gvn was a quake2 community with a quake2 server running a mod called dale mod

how is that off topic?

so i geuss all the other topics about welcoming back quake2 players in this forum are off topic as well?

This thread is just to see WHO all from gvn still plays since ive recieved private msgs when im playing against if im the Forever0 from gvn

all guns but the railgun was instagib.

and on the right side of the screen it had your FPH, how many frags you had to go intil 30 and what your ping was.

the guy that made it still has all the modifications and stuff and is probably putting up another server somtime soon.

gvn was located in Erie,PA, its still around its a internet company called Velocity or something, just the people that work there made a gaming website for LoCALS

I used to play there every once in awhile.

My quake 2 home was Enter.net though... (that's where it all began...

) 'til it died.

i loved GVN. It had one of the best map rotations of the time. i had a GVN config around at one time, with a pretty decent mirror of the maplist, but i'm not sure where it is.

If someone writes up a maplist for me, i'd run a GVN config on Gumby server. It would have the proper maps and same instarail setup. i know i have the maplist around, but i think its on one of two machines i havent fired up in some time, so writing me one would make this happen ALOT faster.

I used to play there all the time and was a mod at some point in time years ago. Was Reaper{oBs} and before that when I was in another clan I was Reaper>NSH> hehe
