Ive been talking to Quadz a bit lately when I can snag a bit of his time about tourneys, I for one personally love the feel of tourneys--not only due to the fun factor of tourneys themselves, but the chance to have a bit of "spotlight" if you will.

Im aware that there is already a much bigger Ra2 league going on so I figured id just leave that part open to being more playful than tourney like--a way to fine tune skills rather than play for dominion.

why not do a team based tourney?

I know most ppl here dont want to play tdm but what about a ctf or a jailbreak tourney? or even like armor suggested above a ra2 tourney?

I for one just dont see the fun in a 30-60 man ffa tourney, I mean I guess its a chaos adrenaline rush for some but for me it just seems like a waste of time, all of you guys get along so well, dont see a reason why we couldnt do something with teams

Teams can be done and will, just dunno how many people have tight knit groups they play with alot. perhaps get a trail team tourney going soon? with teams having to be registered within a few days or so?

lots of interesting ideas!

I have a feeling that the easiest way to get a tourney together and actually finished would be to make it some form of 1v1 (ra2,rail,or dm)

Over the past year it has gotten more and more difficult to get a 2v2 tourney past the first couple rounds without everyone losing interest while waiting for the brackets to finish up their games..

A 4v4 will probably only work if it's limitted to actual active clans... (if a 2v2 wont finish, a 4v4 doesn't have a chance without some form of organization on each team)

1v1 Rail & Ra2 would be kinda silly. I think you could only get away with 1v1 dm.

rail and ra2 in 1v1 would pretty much be a "who's got the better aim" competition.
I like railz, but a lot of people find it a bit boring.
