well maybe not, if he knew the students were armed he might of planted a bomb, who knows. you cannot stop or prevent terrorism, at least any terrorist with half a brain. hopefully we can limit them to not having nuclear weapons, but to say we can prevent some guy from killing 30 people is stupid. These are American students dying here, so were gonna hear about it. I'm much more concerened with more people carrying around guns, than some random killer blasting 30 people.

i think a more strict process to own a firearm is the way to go. make it difficult to get a gun...

i'm ignorant to how ez it is to get a permit to own one in the usa.
But in canada you have to first take a course (Canadian Firearms Safety Course) then apply for the 'Possession and Acquisition Licence' (PAL) with proof of the safety course (certificates)
Then you would have to register your firearm so that the weapon is traceable to you, the firearm owner.

this can take quite a while, much more difficult than going and purchasing a license and a gun in 1 hour.

Also we have laws against carrying a firearm. You must have trigger locks on them when transporting a firearm and it has to be in a concealed case if I'm not wrong.

i think taking precautions like this is smart considering what weapons are made for, killing animals/people.

Reaper, WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR DEAL??. Eliminating the 2nd amendment would ONLY TAKE AWAY GUNS FROM LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. Obviously the fucking criminals would still carry guns, THEY DON'T OBEY THE LAW.

lol, guns are bad, and I think the less of them on the street the better off people will be. Allowing people to carry guns on the street legally would cause more problems than it solved.

Uhhh I doubt they solely come from us. Besides you just like reaper are missing the point. These guns that are "smuggled" into your country are going to criminals and I'm sure it's easier for these criminals to get one of these "smuggled" handguns then it is for a criminal to purchase a gun legally in the US. Whether this guy was going to buy the gun legally to kill these people or find a "smuggled" handgun he was going to get the job done.

Anyhow...
