So you want you XP to look like vista?

ok, so real simple.  you will need ...

-uxtheme.dll patch
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Themes/UXTheme-Patch-For-Windows-XP-SP2-Final.shtml

-stolen vista visual style
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/52387808/

-window transparency addon

http://superb-west.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/dm2/dm2-1.23.1.zip

or

http://www.ishiboo.com/~nirva/Projects/froost/setup.exe

or any other program you wish that will achieve this.


Install the uxtheme file first, then open the visual style, and apply it.  finally run the window transparency program.  note: you will have to set each windows transparency individually.  all of it is very easy on system resources.

lemonzest, this is a "want to make your xp look like vista?" thread, not a my OS is the best thread, not only is it only talking about the VISUAL STYLE, not the OS itself, who is going to go out and get server 2003 when so many people already have XP and can do with it quite fine?
