q2dm3 - nifty doublejump - Riding the Rocket challenge '99

Muerte (European q2-player) posted this on IRC earlier today, as he had found a bunch of demos from a Riding the rocket-challenge that was held back in 1999. I have never seen it before so thought I might put it up here for others to see as well. I haven't tried it myself, but it's safe to assume he is using  a fairly low cl_maxfps to perform the doublejump.

Yeah, I thought it was quite nice, especially considering it's done in '99. Old circlejumps ftw!

i don't have q2 installed atm, but what was the jump?

He doublejumps on the top of yellow-armor ladder (coming from the yellow armor) across to the top of the fragpipe/SSG, most likely using a very low cl_maxfps to do it though.

is it a ladder jump or does he start in the armor room?

i do that jump quite often if its what i am thinking of. I use cl_maxpfs 56.
