I downloaded the BANG! mod and connected to Gator's server (thx Gator) but I need the config file to select the different type of grenades. I couldn't find it on R1CH's site. Also it will take a bit of time to learn the characteristics of each item and how to use them in gameplay. Depending on when we have the tournament, we may have a shortage of time to learn the mod.

I suggest an option where (if possible) all weapons are remapped to nades. This would rock if there were ample nades. And perhaps set the nade values up to 10 or so.

This will run like a glaciar if there are not enough nades to go around. Like a blaster nade fest.

Make sure the nade launcher is there too.

I love this idea. Especially on a small map.

Nothing against the bang mod, but I think just having it as a regular ol' nade tourney would work best. That way there isn't any learning curve, or no excuses about not knowing how to use the weapon(s) provided. No trickery, etc., just toss them nades and may the best (or luckiest?) player win =)

i also added a ffa'nades.cfg to ffa heat server. You can exec with the vote tab.

So you have BANG! or the ffaheat server to play around with.

So I've connected to Gator's BANG! server a few times and goofed around. Basically I'm lost. There are at least 7 different grenades - all with different bounce patterns and damage type. Add to that there's another 5 or so launchers for these grenades that fire the above pineapples and basically you have a new game that takes some time to learn and get used to. Its a great mod but I'm leaning towards a FFA match using standard nades (with launcher for those want one). The frag limit seems excessive at 300 but I guess people will be exploding everywhere - targeted or not - so it might go faster. So we just need to pick the map (not Edge puleeze) and set a date, if console is cool with it.

the ffaheat server has a 'nade config voteable also. It has normal handgrenades only. Normal osp tourney.

Yup! I checked out that config on the ffa heat server, and I think we should go with that for this nade tourney. I think we would probably have to turn on +ia tho, otherwise it will indeed be a blaster fight

And also we need to pick a map. Here are a few i could think of:
