Zether changed his server from competition weapons to WodX1.3.  Its a great mod offering all the weapons from quake1, quake2, quake3, and WOD.

It reads from weapons directory.  Give it a try.

You can download WodX1.3 here, zether.zip - 4.66MB, just take the folder named "zether" rename weapons, if you don't already have one, and place it in /quake2.  (you'll need to set up configs, sry) 

The Mappack can be found here, ZETHERWODXmaps.zip - 46.00Mb, just put maps in the map dir in the "weapons" folder.

Ok, so I had a few ppl come on to the server all mystified like when they were nuked out of existence by my mighty powerful nade. Here is the deal, this is WODX and there are weapons of mass destruction: nukes, heat-seaking rockets (up to a certain range), three different forms of railgun fire, and all kinds of other stuff. Well, here is a list of the weapons and the binds... [size=-2] binds can also be found in the menu on the server[/size]:

I think you can simply hit the weapon key more than once to select the alternates..  so don't let Zether's Zether list scare you away!

Zether - is there a relationship with the amount of ammo you pick up and the weapon which becomes avalible?  Meaning, the more ammo you pick up the weapon becomes upgraded?

there is a relationship between what ammo you have on you and which sweepers you can use..
(the shnazzy chainguns that shoot other shit)

This should hold true for any gun that uses something other than it's standard type of ammo..
say you pick up a chaingun and then later you pickup some slugs.. you can now use the railgunsweeper in addition to the other bullet using sweepers.. etc.
