FFA Tournament on Xatrix

A bunch of us regularly play on the Xatrix server and we thought it might be interesting to have a tourney there, similar to the TS500 - Xatrix style. To those who don't know what that is, this Quake 2 mod comes from the Quake add-on "the Reckoning". To play you would need to install the mod package. The format is 90% Quake 2, with a few unique weapons thrown in. The most insidious being "the trap".

Anyway just getting feedback on interest, the admin's agreement and then onto map votes etc.

There's a lot of other regulars on Xatrix that play other then the guys that have responded here. I'm thinking of the {MOOB} guys. Slavedog, Maxping, Sniper, Sugar etc. Unfortunately they don't participate in this forum so I don't know how to get the word out other than run the idea by them while I'm playing on the server.
Anyway, would the admins here give me an idea if we can host one and what is required from me?

It's fine with me.
Essentially, we need to know:

  - date & time
  - which map(s)
  - what kind of tournament (500 frags?)
  - who will referee it
  - do players need to sign up formally? or can they just join in

If it's a very simple tournament, like the ts500's, I don't mind refereeing it myself. (Assuming I will be home during the designated date/time.)  If it's more complicated, with multiple maps and multiple heats (like FFA Heat), then I don't want to referee it myself.

So, what we'd need at this point would be more details...
