I had to select "All campers must die"

Mainly because it was the only one I felt was close enough to what I wanted to say.

I personally don't like campers, but I do like to get pissed off enough to forget about the game and go after a specific camper.
That is fun!!

If you state that you are a camper, and then join a clan of campers, making your intentions clear, then by all means camp.
I still will take satisfaction in fragging you. Even if my only frag is a greanade spawn frag, Ha ha!

Makes the game interesting.

If you are camping a teleport, then all is fair in love or war. If you are rail camping a spawn port, then do not pass go, go straight to hell and die!

Everybody plays their own way that is fun to them. I for one do not want to run ANY q2 players off, be they campers or hackers! We need all the people we can get!

I don't consider sniping "certain free areas" camping

camping guns and spawn pads, yes that is camping. The quest for easy, unexpected, weaponless frags is camping.

While I accept the players who do this, because it brings a whole new level of hatred to the game, I never could do this myself, becasue of my one code of ethics.

So CRU camp all you want! I love trying to take you down!

While I respect that you openly admit what you are doing, I still could never play that way!

While I think the way you play is dispicable. And I think you guys are the gonna be the 2nd decline of the Roman Empire, I want you to stick around, because I don't wanna run off any q2 players

Now in 1v1 and TDM spawn killing is allright in my book!

A good camper always cracks me up -- and like Dukie said, it's incredibly fun to hunt them down (even if they get you 3 or 4 times first).

i love campers. i think it makes the game interesting. i dont "camp" myself though. its just not fun to me. But my definition of camping is this: Aiming on an area (spawn or doorway) where no one can see you, and it is basically a sure kill if you pull it off correctly.

i have seen many posts on camping, about camping, for camping, and against camping. The big thing that sticks out, is many people have many ideas of what camping is. Mine is pretty defined, as stated above. Some people include "area camping" in camping though. i'd say i area camp as a general strategy in ffa. On any given map, i pick an area i will attempt to control to my benefit. Examples: water - dm1, mega room, dm1, red armor - any map. i will pick an area that i can control some powered item on the map, or have a large advantage to those around me. It just makes strategical sense to me. i wont leave until i am killed or worn down on health/armor enough that i have to run.

In the end, beyond a spawn camped death, each person who dies from a camper in a known position is as responsible for thier death as the camper that gave them thier death. The physics, and the map presents our list of options of choices. What we do with those choices is our own responsibility. No one elses. i just dont see how you can blame a camper for camping. They either enjoy it, or it works for their benefit. Rarely is it both.

I Don't play FFA alot, but when I do...

I'll tend to work an area, like going between armor and a good ammo spot.
after getting a few kills around the armor go get more ammo. You still get some kills
in transit, and a bunch around those areas.. and I start to think to myself, "Am I camping?????"

THEY KINDA PISS ME OFF was my choice.

I don't care to to much, but if they kill me specifically, 3 or more times I get pissed off.

My BF camps a lot and when I watch him play FFA.
I always call him down, like "you fucking camping again??, I should join in the game just to hunt you down" He thinks its hilarious.

CRU guys are good acquaintances of mine, so I am a bit biased in their regard. For the most part campers do not bother me and I can be amused by their creative location agility; however as of late, it appears the ffa dm server looks like a Labor Day weekend campground. At moments it seemed every weapon on the map someone had claimed a stake. This really throws off your rhythm and momentum. I then find myself going back to vanilla where the camp complaints are high but in actuality pale in comparison to the smaller dm maps. I guess it's a fine line between camping and what I have previously seen coined, "strategic location management."

Thats odd Sinful. DM is usually filled with talented dm players. I don't see to many campers IMO.
I hate playing there cause I get owned bad compared to vanilla.
But then again, I like playing there because I can learn from the regular DM pro players.

I am in total agreement with you Daemia..."DM usually is filled with talented dm players," and they are of a great challenge which subsequently should result in our own skill improvement,

but my opinion was not in regard to totality but rather what I have witnessed/experienced, "as of late."
