I might post my Solaris and BSD screenshots in a day or so. I also run eComStation (think OS/2 Warp 5+) on a shitty laptop for work I might post later.

Seriously though, why do some of you people have so many programs running in the background? All it does is take up RAM and page file. My PF usage is at 130MB on cold boot, and never gets above 300 or so MB unless I'm running multiple java-based programs.

i always run a million program : P , probably why my room isn't always clean
but what's the big deal, if ya got memory might as well use it, things are still instantaneous for me
can you run q2 under a mac, always thought i shouldn't get a mac because it doesn't run q2
and i know it has some unix shell, but i didn't know if i could run unix programs on it either. or if they had to be made for macUnix.
-now i use knoppix installed on disk, and cygwin, always seemed like so many hurdles to overcome to use a mac. can't use this printer, need an adapter. can't run this game, can't get this utility. run windows on it it's slow.
maybe this has changed, i even hear MAC have 2 button mouse!

New Desktop (And OS) got things setup all good now, in normal day to day use it feels ALOT faster then xp

btw the try clock is called Tclocklite
