Those annoying Mac ads

I find the Mac guy particularly pretentious and condescending. I understand that back in November he was almost given the boot but survived somehow. Here's a take on these commercials from another forum:

hehe, i enjoy those commercials.  they make me chuckle.

i dont know enough about a mac to know anything about them.  About fifteen years or maybe twenty, my parents had an apple, and it was odd, very odd, and too different from my micro os'd machine.  Never looked at them again.

i don't know why everyone has such a problem with the commercials. they are saying their OS doesn't get many viruses, or spyware, and is stable.  a windows pc, does get viruses, and seems more unstable than the mac.  it seems this is most likely because no one is making viruses for mac  . who wants to go to the store, and have software compatibility issues because you have a mac.

i like windows because it's compatibility with everything, and i find it easy to use.  *nix is nice because it does hardcore shit windows doesn't do (so i download unix for windows, and use that where it works like real unix ).  mac is based of unix, but you can do the same type of thing on windows.  i don't know where i would use a mac... i think they look cool, if i had money to burn i'd get one, and the ipod is nice

There is nothing wrong with Macs. In fact I have an IBOOK myself. I have two laptops, an IBM T41 and an IBOOK G4.

The t-41 just collects dust. In a laptop environment, where gaming is not essential, A Mac Rules!!

In the desktop environment nothing will beat the overall efficiency of a PC.

For me they both serve a purpose.

I am probably the only guy around that runs all these OS's on a daily basis. These OS's are installed on my computers at home.

Win98, Win2k, WinXP home, WinXP pro, Ubuntu, OS 10.4 Tiger.

I'm posting this from my Mac, although I cannot stand their corny commercials.

anyone heard about the new windows vista? i heard it came out eithier yesterday or the day before, and is "only compatible with new computers"?? wonder if this was done just so macs wont be able to run all windows programs as well as pc's.. which i hear they can now. i dunno, just some word of mouth

i work on a apple setting type - illustrator and photoshop

i use windows at home xp

both suck as far as is am concerned both crash

i never got that, why people say mac is better for graphics/multimedia.  okay they have software ifilms? that comes with the os; other than that, i'm not sure why it matters.  comparitivley they used to be high end machines - the hardware.  they still are, but you can by a faster cheaper windows machine.  you could buy a mac and run windows on it now they use compatible hardware.  to me they just seem overpriced, but i really love the look

I do think they are funny to watch, but, I really got annoyed at there claim that Macs never get the Blue Screen of Death. Oh, guess not they used to have that little red bomb huh.
Oh, and of corse they don't get virues, no one writes viruses for them because it would be a waste of there time. It's not going anywhere. Not enough people has them to pass them around.
