while i know nothing about this actual situation, i used an older version of nocheat for quite a while, since servers stopped letting me play with the vanilla q2.exe, i just never bothered to update... not saying everyone is innocent, but im sure im not the only legit person using nocheat
(although i dont anymore, i use vanilla q2 on tasty, every time i load up r1q2 i get my ass whupped)

Geez accused for cheating, you must be joking. I have played quake for years as well as many of you have. I have been there done that you might say. I remember years ago how many people use to hack the game with wallhacks and aimbots and piss everyone off. I also ran an awaken server as well as a sconfig server and always had to keep up with security on the servers which was a pain in the butt back then. I use to download any hack I could find and try them on my servers to make sure they were protected. Occasionaly I would even see how protected other servers were , which to my amazment very few servers back then were protected. So I won't lie I have tried a bot and wallhack before years ago and was even caught, but at the time I didn't care as I was testing my server and others to see how protected they were. I think my favorite thing was a wallhack back then.. lol. Oh I know many others on here over the years have at least tried one. We all wondered what folks were using back then to give us such a whippin... LOL

I would like to see tastyspleen enforce the use of anticheat though as well as r1q2. I know if I was running a server to this day I definitely would.

Unfortunately, if we did that, only people using 32-bit windows NT-based operating systems could play on our servers. This would exclude people using Win98, WinME, 64-bit Windows, Linux, Mac OS, BeOS, etc...

It's not fair to exclude people who's only crime is using a different OS.  We do, however, often enforce anticheat on anyone who looks suspicious...

Sup Fry 

     I know fryguy is not a cheater we have played tons of times, and he is an old clan mate. Fry is good people from way back. I have always enjoyed railing with him. I love the great servers too and also always have fun on them, but when you go accusing people of cheating even if they prove their not they get labeled in a wrong way no matter. So be careful folks of throwing that around. Alot of good people may get burnt by it. Just my opinion. Peace Bagel
